Workshop - Speak up - Speak out: Public Speaking & Presenting to Thrill

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The ability to present in public is a skill independent professionals need – whether as part of a pitch to a prospect or a finished report to a client. Most novice presenters miss opportunities to impress (by using low-status movements and failing to fully engage with their audience).

In this interactive and practical session, Arthur Weiss introduces you to techniques that professional presenters use to connect, motivate and inspire:

  • How to stand without looking on-edge;
  • High-status versus low-status movements;
  • How to make an entrance with your presentation using a simple ABCD type approach so your audience won’t look for the door;
  • How to structure and sequence a talk so that clients and prospects sign up at the end
  •  Removing the PowerPoint crutch so that your audience focuses on your message rather than multiple bullets that fail to hit their target.

By the end of the session, you will know how to engage, enchant and enthrall your audience! Take-homes will include a before and after video so you can see how simple techniques like anchoring, use of rhetoric and the power-of-three can change a presentation from average to great!

Public Speaking should be fun – for you and for those listening to you. Successful public speaking will allow you to share your message and help position you as a go-to expert. Whether pitching to a potential prospect, presenting to an existing client, or giving an after-dinner speech, it builds self-confidence when you engage with an audience who then chooses you in preference to others.
